We started with *the dress*, and now we want to help you find *the tux*.


New to The Dress by Morgan Lynn is our tuxedo rental! Totally customizable to fit your tux needs for your wedding, finding the right tux for your guy has never been easier. We're here to set the record straight on our new service + answer all of your dying questions in regards to our tux rental process!


Q: Where can I book an appointment?

A: Great question! You can go to our website: thedressbymorganlynn.com and click the appointments tab. From there, you will select the Wedding Tuxedo Consult option and choose your day.

Q: What do I need to bring to our appointment?

A: Anything and everything that helps us see your vision! Whether that be a bridesmaid dress swatch, a picture of your dress, a mood board, inspiration pictures, etc. We love all of the things! Likewise, if you can't think of anything to bring and/or want us to lead the conversation, we can absolutely do that as well!


Q: How early should I have tuxedos ordered?

A: We are firm believers of the saying "the sooner, the BETTER" with anything in regards to wedding planning. We typically recommend coming in at least 2 months out to ensure that all members of the wedding party have their information included, leaving time for changes or adjustments.


Q: What color options are there?

A: We have tons of options to choose from, however our most popular are black, grey, and blue. Under those three colors there are many different shades, fits, + details to really make the tux your own.


Q: What is all included for the rental?

A: Similar to our color options, we also have many different tiers for rentals. Most (not all) of our tuxedo rentals include vest, tie, shirt, jacket, and pants. Some additional add ons include, shoes, pocket squares, and suspenders. Perfect additions to really make the look stand out!


Q: Are suits an option instead of tuxes? What is the difference between the two?

A: Absolutely! Though not as popular for weddings, suits are definitely available to both rent, and buy. The biggest difference between and tuxedo and a suit is the presence of satin. Tuxedos have satin details such as satin faced lapels, satin buttons and a satin side-stripe down on the pant leg. Suits typically do not have any of these features, nor do they include a vest for rental.


Q: Are measurements included?

A: Most definitely! When you come in for your initial consult, we will be sure to grab the groom's measurements for his tux. From there, we ask that you either gather the rest of the wedding party's measurements (if they have them), or send them our way to get measured.

Q: When will the tuxes arrive?

A: The week of your wedding is when we will have the tuxes in hand. We recommend picking them up as early as possible, in case something needs adjusted. Luckily, the rentals are adjustable for sizing, so it is rare things do not fit!


Q: What promotions do you honor for tuxes?

A: We are so happy to be able to offer some great promotions for you + your future hubby! When renting 5+ tuxedo rentals for your wedding, the groom's is free! Not to mention, every bride who has purchased their dress with us will receive 10% off your whole tuxedo party order!


Q: How much can we expect to spend on a tux rental?

A: It truly depends on the tux, as well as any additions, but you can usually expect to spend around $180-250 per tux!


Q: Last question-- how soon do we need to have the rentals returned?

A: We ask that we get them back the Monday following the wedding.

We are so blessed to work with so many wonderful designers, so we figured we should share a little bit about them with you! Our first designer spotlight is none other than the lovely Casablanca. This designer takes pride in their original designs + attention to detail. They specialize in making each gown unique with hand beaded designs, exquisite laces, + customizations to fit every bride's needs and wants.

In addition to this fabulous designer, they also have a younger sister brand, Beloved, that we also adore. Beloved was created with the younger, price-discerning bride in mind. Crafted with remarkable quality for the price point it serves, Beloved is the first bridal line in this sector that still offers a certain range of customizable options while maintaining affordability. The Beloved customer may resonate with a slightly more free-spirited and artistic sensibility, as opposed to the traditional elegance of Casablanca. We love carrying both, having the best of both options!

There are countless reasons why we love Casa, as well as the sister company Beloved, but we are here to name some of our *personal* favs below!


 

1. Customization is by far one of our favorite aspects about Casa! The customization option helps us to work with you to make sure your dress is your dress. For example, love that certain dress but want a raised hemline? Casa can do that! Don't love the neckline and want something more classic? Consider it done! Love sleeves, but can't seem to find any that suit you, add the sleeves! The options are endless. Whatever you dream up, Casa can fulfill.


2. A Moderate Price Point is the next thing we absolutely love about this designer. We aim to provide high quality, yet affordable dresses for all of our brides, and Casa helps us achieve that! Finding and creating your *perfect* dress is achievable with this lovely designer!


3. "A Midwest Size Chart" is another perk of Casablanca. By Midwest Size Chart, we mean these dresses allow more room in the hips, as well as inclusive sizing for every bride. These dresses were made for real bodies, and we love that! We want every bride to feel their best + be comfortable on their wedding day.


4. Matching Accessories. Need we say more? Another amazing service Casa offers is matching veils and removable sleeves for your dress! Not often can you find a brand that literally matches every detail down to the fabric to your dress for accessories. We love love love a matching veil look, or a whimsical removable sleeve!


5. Timeliness + Accuracy is by far our absolute favorite part about this designer! Not only do they nail just exactly what our brides want for their dress (customizations and all), but they also are always timely and always flexible! You tell us the date you'd like your dress by, and Casa works tirelessly to make sure it happens.

A question we don't get often, but probably has crossed your mind before! That's okay, we totally get it, no offense taken! We are here to clear the air and let you know exactly why finding your dress with us is oh so special, as well as why we are by appointment only!


 

1. The most obvious difference between us and other bridal stores is that we are by appointment only. When working with our special brides, we want all attention to be on you. For that 90 minutes, our space is your space without any distractions! This helps us to really hone in on what you are looking for, as well as get to know you on a personal level. This piece of your wedding is a big one, and we want to treat it as so! Champagne can be popped, tears can be shed, + conversations can be had in private (and we love that).


2. The second thing that makes us so special, is our meticulously chosen dress selection. Not only do we carry designers that other bridal stores in the surrounding area don't, but we also spend an abundance of time choosing the special samples we have in store. We carry dresses that represent all kinds of brides, but are still very selective on what styles we bring in store. When purchasing samples, we are very thorough in making sure the quality, comfortability, style + small details are there. Not to mention, we always consider all body types to make sure we are inclusive to all sizes!


3. Another reason we are truly special, is that we now carry tuxedo rentals! This is a new venture for us, but one we are so excited to provide for our couples. Similarly to bridal, we do our tuxedo appointments by appointment only. This time allows to go through options, talk about your color schemes and ideas, and get measurements taken! Not to mention, we are always there to listen about all wedding ideas, and give advice where we can! We also help to add on your finishing touches with our stunning veils, jewelry, + hair accessories to really complete your look for the big day!


4. The fourth reason we are special is our favorite-- we are a small business, that is woman-owned + ran! When you support a small business, a real person (Morgan) does a little happy dance! There are many reasons to support a small woman-owned business, but a few of our fav are:

- Better customer service. To us you are WAY more than a number. Every interaction we have is personal, and we mean it! We value our customers more than anything else, and always put you first. We truly make life long friendships along the way, and love to keep in touch!

- Your Money Stays In The Community. Every time you purchase a product or service from a local business, the owner will pay their share of local business taxes into the community. Your money stays in the community and reenters it to contribute to a positive economic structure! Not to mention, we try to purchase everything we can from other local, small businesses such as bride gifts, shirts, coffee, you name it!

- It Builds Communities. When you support a small, local business, you are supporting your friends, family, and neighbors. These are people you see out while grocery shopping, or getting the mail. They add a diverse and unique experience/product to your community, so you and fellow locals don't have to outsource or travel for these goods.

- Supporting Woman Owned Business. When supporting women-owned + ran businesses, you are investing in women's economic empowerment, helping bridge the pay gap, as well as empowering mothers and underprivileged women.


5. Care + Compassion is our middle name. Lastly, we are special because we provide true care and compassion for our customers! With every person that walks in our door, we do our best to make them feel comfortable + confident. We aspire to be a place that builds core memories, that last a lifetime. Between our 4 walls are all the good vibes-- music, drinks, candles burning, + comfortable seating for your guests.
